West Cornwall - or Penwith as it is also known - is one of the most photogenic regions in the South West of England. This is one of our favourite workshops and during the 3-days of photography we will visit a number of Cornwall’s most iconic landmarks, including St Michael’s Mount, Ross Poldark's tin mines at Botallack Head, and Godrevy Island.
We will also photograph Land's End's amazing coastline and visit Porth Nanvan – one of the most photogenic beaches in England. During late winter, the light can be stunning and the weather dramatic. The days are still long enough to visit several locations each day, yet short enough to ensure we’re back at the hotel after sunset in time to eat, relax and share a drink or two…
Participants will be staying at the stunning Marazion Hotel for 2 nights, which is an AA rated 4 star Inn, located close to the beach and with views toward St Michael’s Mount. Three-course evening meal (Sunday & Monday) and breakfast and packed lunch (Monday & Tuesday) are also provided in the cost.
For this workshop, we are limiting the group size to just eight participants to ensure viewpoints don’t feel crowded. With a small maximum group size, a large amount of individual, bespoke tuition is guaranteed and you will benefit from the differing perspective of two professionals. Mark and Ross will not only guide you to the key viewpoints, but encourage you to explore each location in order for you to find less obvious compositions and find your own unique perspective. For comfort and convenience, transport is via car sharing. We hope you can join us...
